A.L.D.(almighty lumberjacks of death)
7" - "Always out of control, Never out of beer" - 1989
Cassette - "Live at St.Andrews"
Cassette - "Soul of the Storm"

One of my all-time favorite local bands.
Great group of guys. Pure punk with a bit of that English Oi sound.
Fronted by the punk poet of Detroit, the ever lovable, Jimmy Doom

ALGEBRA MOTHERS
7" - "Strawberry Cheescake"

I don't know of these guys. They were told to me by someone helping with info for the site.
Was told the 7" is fuckin great! They were also known as A-MOMS

THE ALLIED
Songs were recorded to be put out but the deal fell thru and
nothing was ever released.

Great band that showed their influence of English Oi bands very heavily
(i.e.- THE CLASH, LAST RESORT, SHAM 69). Featured Pete Zelewski original NEGATIVE APPROACH member.

ANGRY RED PLANET
LP - "Little pigs, Little pigs" 1987
7" EP - "Too much knowledge can be dangerous" 1983
7" EP - "Gawker's paradise" 1982

One of my all-time favorite local bands. Great fun lyrics in the style of  THE DICKIES. Had a local
college radio hit with "Curling" (named after the great Canadian sport). Tim Pak has been working in a studio
(as a producer?) and is now in a great Bluegrass band, SALT MINERS.

ANTI SOCIAL DEGENERATES
LP - "Hatemongers,.........A Product of Evolution" 1988

They recorded a live show at SMALL's this past year and you can download the whole this for FREE from
their myspace page, Also they give you a picture for the jacket if you burn it to cd, Damn nice of the lads!
New LP to be out in late April-07

A.O.K. (anti oi klan)
Saw these guys a few times around 1984. Straight ahead punk style.
Didn't like the skinheads much I remember.

BLASPHEMOUS
Cassette - "Surfing with the Mutants"

One of the early bands to mesh the metal sound with punk. Always reminded me of a punk MOTORHEAD!

THE BLIND8

Put together in 1977. THE BLIND were raw energy of people just learning to play. Perfect for this
'new' punk thing! To put it bluntly... THEY WERE A TRAIN WRECK!
They never released anything but did do some crude home recordings. A member
later joined the band FIGURES ON A BEACH (who left Detroit for Boston to 'make it') Or as we used
to call them, PISS ON A PORPOISE.

THE BONERS
7" - "Do the Itch / Bob the Dog" 1981

Also known as 'Jerry Vile & The Boners'

BOOM & THE LEGION OF DOOM
7" EP - "Hate to love, Love to hate" 1985
LP - "Detroit"

Yes, I know they are from Battle Creek, MI but these guys kicked ass
each time they rolled into Detroit! Horror themed stage antics & song titles.
These guys took ALICE COOPERs ideas to the next level. REAL deer parts & other
animals they got from a local B.C. slaughter house shared the stage with these madmen!

THE CADILLAC KIDS
7" EP - "I'd rather be with the neighborhood"

Late 70's power pop/punk.

CINECYDE
LP - "Magnetic Attraction, Hypnotic Repulsion"
LP - "I left my heart in Detroit City"
LP - "Like a UFO"
CD - "Live a lie, your gonna die" (Collection of early singles)
7" - "Gutless Radio"
7" - "Black Vinyl Threat"
7" - "Tough Girls"
7" - "Positive Action"

One of (if not thee) oldest art school/punk bands from Detroit. They played out quite a bit,
recorded a shit load! Also responsible for starting 'Tremor Records'.

COLD COCK
7" EP - " Your a Mess" 1979

Made up of Bruce Bannon (Bookies Club) & Bob Malrooney (Bootsy X & Love Masters)

COVEN 13
Another band I remember the name but that's close to all I remember. Weren't they a
sorta Goth band?

CRUCIFUCKS
LP - "Wisconsin" 1987
LP - "The Crucifucks" 1984
LP - "L.D. eye"

Saw these guys in '84 @ Hungry Brain w/ ANGRY RED PLANET & SLAUGHTERHOUSE ,
they blew me away. Then saw them again in 84' when they opened for THE DEAD KENNEDYS
@ Harpos. Doc is a great front man with his distinct voice. Featured Steve Shelly on
drums who went on to play with SONIC YOUTH

THE CUBES
7" EP - "Spaceheart" 1979

Late 70's band.

CULT HEROS
7" - "Cosmic Elation" 1979
7" - "Amerikan Story" 1981

Another group from the beginnings of the scene originally from Ann Arbor, MI.
From the late 70's, early 80's

DESTROY ALL MONSTERS
7" - "Bored" 1978
7" - "November 22, 1963" 1979
7" - "What Do I Get ?" 1979
7" EP - "Assassination Photograph" 1979

The first three 7" were on 'Cherry Red Records' U.K. Band was lead by artist Niagara and consisted of
John Asheton (THE STOOGES) & Michael Davis (MC5)

THE DOGS
7" - "John Rock" 1976
7" - "Slash Your Face" 1978

One of the earliest punk bands on the scene.

THE DRY HEAVES
7" EP - "Shoot yourself"
LP - "Shoot yourself" (reissue on CD with extras)

Great raw punk from the grassroots of the Detroit punk scene.

ELVIS HITLER
LP - 'Disgraceland' 1987
LP - 'Splatter - from hell to eternity'
LP - 'Supersadomasochisticexpialidocious' 1992

Great fun band. They mix cowpunk/rock-a-billy. They had a underground 'hit' with
"Green Haze," combining the music of Hendrix' s "Purple Haze" with the lyrics to the Green Acres theme.
Believe it or not, the CD version of "Disgraceland" has sold for over $100 many times on eBay!

FEISTY CADAVERS
7" EP - 'Dead Giveaway' 1988
7" EP - 'Dying Art' 1989
7" EP - "Black Roses"
CD - "Feisty Cadavers & The Brotherhood" (Various Detroit bands paying tribute to STEVE KRASS)

Really good band and a really good bunch of guys. In the vain of THE DEAD BOYS, horror styled
lyrics and subject matter. Sad that lead singer Steve Krass was murdered and bassist Eric Hoskins
died of an assumed overdose. You guys are missed.

FLIRT
7" - "Don't Push Me" 1978
10" EP - "Faster Than You" 1980

Late 70's band.

FORCED ANGER
Cassette - 'Pent up'' 1985
Cassette - 'Pent up/Summer of Hate' 1987

Good political driven punk. I booked my first show in 1986 with these guys.
